CW lasers (1–6kW) excel at deep-penetration seam welding for automotive and structural applications. Pulsed lasers (50W–500W average power) deliver superior control for thin-wall components, dissimilar metals, and heat-sensitive assemblies. Handheld CW welders (1–2kW) are creating a new market for replacing TIG in repair and small-batch work.
