The Salvagnini L5 fiber laser introduces Italian innovation with its patented Carbon Fiber Compass kinematic system—a revolutionary mechanical drive utilizing advanced kinematics and rotary motors to move the laser head with dynamics up to 5G on short movements while consuming less energy than linear motor systems.

A single Salvagnini-designed laser head processes all compatible materials and thicknesses without adjustment, eliminating setup time during production changes. The L5 supports fiber laser sources from 2kW to 10kW, cutting steel to 25mm, stainless to 30mm, aluminum to 30mm, and copper/brass to 10mm across a 3048×1524mm work area at speeds exceeding 156 m/min with positioning accuracy of 0.08mm Pa and 0.03mm Ps.

The patented DRY-COOLING system actively controls optic temperature without gas or liquid, ensuring precision even in aggressive cutting modes. TRADJUST function automatically modulates cutting parameters based on trajectories, direction changes, and acceleration, while real-time process sensors monitor piercing and detect cutting losses with automatic parameter correction. Optional ACUT feature enables compressed air cutting to 20mm. Integrated with Salvagnini's proprietary SiX controller, CAMlaser software, and FACE interface, the L5 improves cycle times up to 30% on hole-intensive parts while maximizing energy efficiency.
